Incredible. Simply stunning. "Southern Pictures" is the Pond Monkeys at their most cryptic and sincere. Just what exactly is a truck start? And put the play back in what game? The boys offer no answers here. Austin plays the tamborine on this pop-jam like there's no tomorrow. It's also important to take notice at another alcohol reference in this song. This is one of three tracks on which the youths express concern about beer. It's hard to tell whether it was actually concern or not though, considering how this is another of the band's songs that makes absolutely no sense.
